News Glitter Force Doki Doki Season 2 Debuts on Netflix
Full series now available

The 15-episode second season of Glitter Force Doki Doki, the localized version of the Dokidoki! Precure television anime, premiered on Netflix on Friday. The episodes cover the rest of the original anime's story.

The first 15 episodes, which covered the story up through the original anime's episode 21, premiered on Netflix in August.

The dub stars Debi Derryberry, Cassandra Morris, Melissa Fahn, Stephanie Sheh, and Erica Lindbeck. Blush performed a new version of the Glitter Force theme song as well as the ending theme song "You and I."

The lead characters are renamed Maya/Glitter Heart (Mana/Cure Heart), Rachel/Cure Diamond (Rikka/Cure Diamond), Clara/Glitter Clover (Alice/Cure Rosetta), and Mackenzie/Glitter Spade (Makoto/Cure Sword). Netflix describes the story:

Four girls summon their inner superheroes to defend Earth and the magical kingdom of Splendorius from King Mercenare and his minions.

The 49-episode Dokidoki! Precure television anime ran from 2013-2014 as the next series in the Precure franchise after Smile Precure!, which Saban Brands localized as Glitter Force.

The first season of Glitter Force premiered in December 2015 and the second season, covering the second half of Smile Precure!, premiered in August 2016. The trademark for "Glitter Force" has since moved from Saban Brands to Toei Animation, but Saban Brands is still credited with production on Glitter Force Doki Doki.
