Image Comics Documentary ‘So Much Damage’ Debuts First Trailer

Syfy has released (via Entertainment Weekly) the first trailer for So Much Damage: How Image Comics Changed the World.

A five-part documentary series, the project chronicles the rise, fall and comeback of Image Comics, and its lasting influence on the entertainment industry as a whole. The series features in-depth interviews with the company’s founders — including superstar writer/artists Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld — in addition to its modern architects, like The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.

So Much Damage: How Image Comics Changed the World is produced by Syfy’s digital division, Syfy Wire, and is set to debut all five parts November 20 on the official Syfy website.

Image Comics was founded in 1992 by Marvel comics artists-turned independent creators Jim Lee, Rob Liefeld, Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, Whilce Portacio, Marc Silvestri and Jim Valentino. Since the debut of the company’s first comic book issue, Spawn #1, the publisher has remained a powerhouse and massively influential tour de force in the medium. To this day, McFarlane, Larsen, Silvestri, Valentino and Liefeld still produce comics for the publishing giant.
