Francis Manapul Asks for Help Identifying Suspect in Sister-In-Law’s Murder

DC Comics creator Francis Manapul is asking for help identifying a suspect in the murder of Tess Richey, his sister-in-law.

“We need help identifying this man in connection to the murder of my sister in law Tess Richey,” Manapul wrote on Instagram. “If anyone knows who this guy is please contact the 51 division or crime stoppers. This was captured in the Church and Wellesley area of Toronto. Help us bring justice for Tess. Please share this in your network. Thanks so much for all of your help!”

Manapul provided additional details about Richey’s disappearance in an earlier post. “If anyone was on church street the night of nov 25th and recall Tess or this group of people please contact the police,” he wrote. “That’s a very busy street after the bars close so somebody saw this suspect. He is described as having light skin, between 5’7″ and 6′ with a slim build and dark hair, wearing a dark jacket and lighter pants. Please take the time to read the article above and help us find this monster.”

Manapul initially asked for assistance finding his missing sister-in-law on November 27, at which point she’d already been missing for more than 50 hours. Richey’s mother found her body near a construction site three days after her disappearance. She was 22.

Richey is one of at least eight people who has gone missing in the area around Church and Wellesley in Toronto since the start of 2017. Three of those people have been found alive, three are still missing, and two have been found dead.
