The Avatar: The Last Airbender graphic novel series is getting a new creative team. Dark Horse and Nickelodeon announced today that Faith Erin Hicks and Peter Wartman will now be helming the series about a world in which certain people, called benders, can manipulate the elements. Hicks is best known for her work in series like The Adventures of Superhero Girl and The Last of Us: American Dreams, while Wartman has known for Over the Wall and Stonebreaker. Hicks illustrated a short 10-page Avatar story starring Sokka and Suki for Free Comic Book Day back in 2014.
