Game slated for November 30 in Japan FuRyu began streaming a television commercial for its upcoming Nintendo 3DS game based on Crayon Shin-chan on Friday. The game, titled Crayon Shin-chan, Gekiatsu! Oden World Dai Konran, is slated to ship on November 30 in Japan. FuRyu also began streaming the full song and dance by the character "OdenMan," who appears in the commercial played by comedian Yoshio Kojima. FuRyu opened a teaser website for the side-scrolling action game last month.

Film set in Chinatown features kung-fu action The staff of the Crayon Shin-chan anime announced the franchise's 26th anime film on Friday. The film, titled Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys ~Ramen Tairan~ (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys Ramen Rebellion), will open in Japan during the Golden Week spring holidays in 2018. The kung-fu action film will be set in a Chinatown named Aiyātown in Kusakabe, Saitama (the setting of the main series). Crayon Shin-chan Bakusui! Yumemi World Dai Totsugeki director Wataru Takahashi is returning to direct the film. Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki scriptwriter Kimiko Ueno is writing the script. TV Asahi began streaming a teaser for the film, but it is region-locked to Japan.
