Synopsis
Shikada Kokonotsu's father owns a rural sweets shop, and his plan is for Kokonotsu to take it over one day. However, Kokonotsu wants to be a manga author instead! One day in summer, the cute but weird girl Shidare Hotaru, from the famous sweets company, comes to pay a visit. Apparently, Kokonotsu's father is famous and she wants him to join her family's company. However, he will only agree if she can convince Kokonotsu to take over the family business!

Chinatsu Akasaki to play Hajime Owari in sequel series This year's 46th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is revealing on Wednesday that the Dagashi Kashi 2 sequel anime series will premiere in January 2018 on TBS and BS-TBS. The issue is also revealing that Chinatsu Akasaki (Welcome to the Ballroom's Chinatsu, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma's Alice) will play the character Hajime Owari (pictured below). The anime's returning cast includes: Ayana Taketatsu as Hotaru Shidare Atsushi Abe as Kokonotsu Shikada Manami Numakura as Saya Endō Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Tō Endō Satoshi Kuwabara (Dr. Pinoko no Mori no Bōken, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) is directing the anime at Tezuka Productions, replacing director Shigehito Takayanagi. feel., the previous studio that handled the first season, is now credited with setting cooperation. Mayumi Morita is replacing Takayanagi and Yasuko Kamo in series composition. Nana Miura (Young Black Jack) is replacing Kanetoshi Kamimot

Taketatsu voices Hotaru, performed 1st ending song The official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Kotoyama's Dagashi Kashi manga announced on Wednesday that Ayana Taketatsu will perform the opening theme song opening theme song "Oh My Sugar Feeling!!" for Dagashi Kashi 2, the anime's second season.
