Netflix launches 8-episode series starring Johnny's West members in 190 countries Netflix began streaming a trailer on Friday for Honō no Tenkōsei REBORN (Blazing Transfer Students), the live-action series adaptation of Kazuhiko Shimamoto's Blazing Transfer Student (Honō no Tenkōsei) manga. Netflix also revealed a new visual. The video reveals that the eight-episode drama will be available in 190 countries on Netflix on November 10. All seven members of the Johnny's West singing group will star in the series. The original manga centered on Noboru Takizawa, a transfer student at a new high school where disputes are settled through fights. He picks a fight with the school bully Ibuki Saburo in the hopes of winning the right to date Yukari Takamura, the school idol. Kazuhiko Shimamoto's manga bundles with Aoi Honō in November Kazuhiko Shimamoto published the first part of the two-part Honō no Tenkōsei REVOLUTION (Blazing Transfer Students) manga in the November issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine on Thursday. The second part of the manga will appear in the next issue on November 10. A booklet featuring the first manga chapter will bundle with the 18th compiled book volume of Shimamoto's Aoi Honō manga on November 10. In addition, the Honō no Tenkōsei Drama-ka Kinen Fukkatsu Sōshūhen manga compilation book celebrating the live-action adaptation will ship on the same day. Coproduction to have 78 short episodes The United Kingdom's BBC television network CBeebies has greenlit American Greetings Entertainment's 3DCG children's animated series Tinpo. Japan's Dentsu and OLM and Los Angeles-based studio Sprite Entertainment are producing the series in Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The series will have 78 seven-minute episodes, and it is slated to premiere on CBeebies in late 2018. The series targeted at preschool children will center on the heroes of Tinpo town who create ways to solve problems in their world. American Greetings Entertainment initially produced Tinpo as 30-second animated shorts that premiered in 2007 on CBS' KEWLopolis block.
