Shocking Gap! These Two Pictures Presents the Same Anime?
There’s an odd paradox to anime in Japan. There’s no easier place to watch anime completely free, as just about every series of note airs on regular broadcast television. At the same time, fans pay far more for anime TV series’ subsequent Blu-ray releases in Japan than any other market, with prices of 5,000 yen (US$42) and up for individual discs containing just two episodes. So what’s convincing Japanese fans to shell out so much cash for something they already have access to without spending anything at all? For some it’s a patron-of-the-arts-like sense of pride that comes from financially supporting the cultural works they love. But for others, it’s the shockingly wide gap that’s sometimes present between the artwork in the broadcast and home video versions of the same anime. On the left is what viewers saw on TV during the Fall 2014 season, and on the right is how the same scenes looked on the Blu-ray rel

Mind the Gap #1
“Mind the Gap #1” is a new Image title from Jim McCann, Rodin Esquejo and Sonia Oback, and one that has already attracted a fair amount of buzz from those looking for the next “Chew” or “Nonplayer.” With a creative team that has had plenty of positive critical attention, all the elements are here for a big hit — but can this comic live up to such lofty expectations? Although notionally a supernatural thriller centred on Ellis Peterssen, a woman who arrives in hospital after being beaten into a coma, the majority of the book focuses on introducing the supporting cast. Ellis herself is trapped in a strange spiritual hinterland, cut off from the real world — but not alone. It’s a setup with plenty of potential, but it has the unfortunate effect of setting the protagonist apart from everything else going on around her. While the scenes in the real world are characterized by an insistent realism, Ellis’ story is populated by bizarre and surreal moments that don’t really gel with the rest.

The New Age-Gap Dating Culture
Dating has become an increasingly serious pursuit for the over 65 set in recent years. As the age gap narrowed between generations, there emerged a trend of older people marrying later in life or never marrying at all.Online dating is a liberating and convenient form of how institutionalized practices like arranged marriages have become frowned upon, but it may still derive its share of concerns and challenges. We look at both these extremes as we explore the pros and cons of meeting a potential partner online. The cougar culture is now a worldwide phenomenon. It has gained popularity with the rise of online dating and the growing acceptance of women who choose to date younger men.In the past, women were not open to dating younger men because they were seen as less mature and more irresponsible.
