Site allegedly linked to other sites with pirated manga, was shut down after initial probe in July The Association of Copyright for Computer Software (ACCS) announced that nine prefectural police agencies arrested nine suspects on Tuesday on the charge of violating the Copyright Act in connection to "Haruka Yume no Ato," an alleged "leech site" that linked to manga posted online without authorization. Police agencies from Osaka, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Niigata, Okayama, Kagawa, Ehime, and Fukuoka were involved in the investigation. A leech site is a site that does not host unauthorized content, but provides searchable links to sites where users can find and download such content. ACCS labels Haruka Yume no Ato as the largest among these leech sites in Japan, and it allegedly linked to sites that contained illegal copies of manga. The Kōsekikai group launched the site in 2008. Nyoijizai's manga has anime in the works Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Monday that it has licensed Nyoijizai's Harukana Receive manga. The first volume is slated for print and digital release on September 11, 2018. The company will reveal new licenses every day this week. Harukana Receive is the second of three license announcements for Monday, after Dragon Goes House-Hunting. Seven Seas describes the story: When high schooler Haruka moves to Okinawa, she finds herself enamored with the beach right outside her front door and resolves to form a volleyball team with her cousin, Kanata. However, because she's so short, Kanata gave up on volleyball ages ago. Can Haruka get her to take up the sport again in time for the junior tournament? Nyoijizai launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward in August 2015. The fourth compiled volume shipped on September 12. A television anime adaptation has been green-lit.

M.A.O, Yūki Hirose, Rumi Katō star in 20-minute "anime drama" Haruka Mado's 3-Nin no Wakai Onna (Three Young Women) manga is inspiring a 20-minute "anime drama" that will incorporate both live-action scenes and anime. The animated parts will include the opening and transitional eye catch scenes. The special will premiere on AT-X at the end of December. Mado's manga follows a year in the life of three girls, starting from the time they meet. Yutaka (picured left in image above) is shy and awkward, Shinari (right in image above) doesn't worry about much, and Hanako (center in image above) often worries about how she looks from the outside. The special will star Mao Ichimichi (M.A.O) as Yutaka, AŌP's Yūki Hirose as Shinari, and former SKE48 idol Rumi Katō as Hanako. Junichi Inaba is directing the short, Rosenfilm is producing, and Shūji Katayama is composing the music. Toshiyuki Kubooka directs beach volleyball anime at C2C An official website and Twitter account for the anime of Nyoijizai's Harukana Receive manga opened on Friday and revealed the main staff and teaser visual. Toshiyuki Kubooka (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc) is directing the anime at C2C and Touko Machida (A Centaur's Life, Wake Up, Girls!) is handling the script and series composition. Hitoshi Nanba directs seres at Geno Studio This year's 53rd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine is revealing the main cast on Thursday for the television anime adaptation of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga. Chikahiro Kobayashi (supporting roles in Gintama, Gingitsune, Granblue Fantasy the Animation) is starring in the show as Saichi Sugimoto (right in below image), and Haruka Shiraishi (From Up On Poppy Hill's Sora, A Centaur's Life's Kyōko, Anne-Happy's Hibari) is co-starring as Asirpa (left).
