Anime as a whole is just plain silly, and the disconnection from it to the real world is all too much apparent when you notice the odd things animation could get away with as compared to live-action.  Characters that may be well flourished in a specific series could be totally hopeless in a real-world situation, like being hired as a store clerk or attempting to see a romantic-comedy in a theater.  In light of taking the completely serious mentality away from anime, we present this rather very not-so-serious list to set an example of exactly how goofy anime characters would be when taken out of their natural setting and into our own reality. 10. Characters are threatened with danger or death from the very environment in which they live. Whether through starvation, dehydration, asphyxiation, the power of the elements, the threat of attack from deadly wildlife, the world around the cast poses at least as much of a threat to life as does any humanoid enemy. 10. Film premieres in L.A. on September 5, across U.S. in October Sentai Filmworks began streaming an English-dubbed trailer for the No Game, No Life Zero film on Friday. Sentai Filmworks will premiere the film with an English dub at the Los Angeles Anime Film Festival on September 15, and in Japanese with English subtitles the day after. The film will then screen in select U.S. theaters with Japanese audio and English subtitles on October 5 at 7:00 p.m. local time and then with the English dub on October 8 at 12:55 p.m. local time. The screenings will be accompanied by special footage of members of the cast and crew. Azoland Pictures is handling theatrical distribution. Dub cast members — including Scott Gibbs, Caitlynn French, Shannon Emerick, and Kira Vincent-Davis —are returning from the television anime.
