20 Romance Anime Series Where a Boy and a Girl Must Live Together
There are a lot of tropes that go into romance anime, and because they are often so successful in creating the atmosphere and drama that most romance anime viewers demand, those tropes are abused to hell and back. One of the more successful tropes that isn’t quite the well-beaten dead horse is making the two romantic leads live together. Oh, the set up. It is the perfect vessel for not only so many lewd situations, but for the drama that the romance genre needs to survive as well. If your tastes in romance anime demand you search for series in which the boy and the girl are forced to live together due to circumstance, then these anime recommendations will feed that need. Final Approach This anime series takes this trope and displays it in perfect form. In Final Approach, Ryo and his sister live alone after their parents died. However, due to low birth rates in Japan, the government tests a new program in which young people are forced to marry. So in comes RyoR

Better Together – Top 11 Anime Bromances
It’s a simple concept: bro + romance = bromance. However, it’s not the same yaoi romance that some of you may be into, this one is purely fueled on equal parts testosterone and friendship. So while they may get together in your dubious fan fiction, in the canon world, the following brothers-in-arm make for the ultimate team. The Guys from Cell 2-6 from Rainbow Who says a bromance has to be between two people? In Rainbro, I mean, Rainbow, the bromance occurs between the seven cellmates in Cell 2-6. Because, after all, nothing brings bros together like torture and sodomy in a prison setting, right? Soul and Black Star from Soul Eater There is a small portion of the Soul Eater anime fully dedicated to showing you just how big of a bromance that Soul and Black Star have together. It makes you wonder why, if they get along so well, that they aren’t weapon and meister partners to begin with. As it turns out, it is better to have someone that clashes your personality for a s

How Do Suicide Squad & Harley Quinn Fit Together in Continuity?
Comic Book Questions Answered – where I answer whatever questions you folks might have about comic books (feel free to they’re e-mail questions to me at [email protected]). Reader Sean F. wrote in to ask: I’ve got a continuity question, specific to the Rebirth, that is driving me batty (no pun intended). How is Harley a prisoner in Belle Reve and a member of the Suicide Squad, while she is living freely in Coney Island with her own crew? The simplest explanation, really, Sean, is that Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti’s hilarious Harley Quinn series is effectively based in its own little universe. There was a notable series that ran for years called Brave and the Bold, starring Batman and different heroes every issue. The series was written by Bob Haney for many years. Haney was not a fan of shared comic book continuity. Therefore, Brave and the Bold was, in effect, it’s own universe. People used to call it Earth-Haney, as it was unlike any other Eart

Mr. & Mrs. X Reminds Us All Why We Love Rogue and Gambit, Together
Let’s clear the air right now: Kelly Thompson is a fantastic writer. She could be writing us to-do lists and parking tickets, and we would still happily read them. But where Thompson gets to show her talents in full force is when she clearly has a deep connection with her subjects. When the characters speak to her, they don’t spew perfunctory exposition just to hasten the plot. No. When the characters are loved by Thompson, they sing. In Mr. and Mrs. X #1, the relationship between two of the most beloved X-Men of all time, is practically a choir. The series’ debut issue sets itself apart from other comics featuring a superhero wedding by focusing on the events surrounding it. It’s a wide decision from a narrative stand point, which most of you would agree if you’ve ever sat through a wedding. The ceremony could be the most beautiful declaration of love between two people, but the drama leading up to that moment and everything that follows is far more interesting.
