2 live-action shows stream on Verizon's platform Verizon Media's go90 streaming service began streaming the Ultraman Neos and Ultraseven X television series on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Both 12-episode live-action series are available in Japanese with English subtitles. Olympusat, Inc.'s television channel TOKU aired Ultraman Neos in May and describes the story: This 12-episode Japanese television series follows the adventures of Ultraman Neos, a skilled warrior from Nebula M78 who is sent to Planet Earth alongside his commander Ultraseven 21 to protect mankind from terrifying kaiju and alien invasions. Upon arriving to earth, Neos quickly merges with Genki Kagura, a young member of the Hi-tech Earth Alert Rescue Team, to join the fight against any terrestrial or extraterrestrial threats. Film that casts Ultraman as enemy opened in China on October 1 A Chinese production company based in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province produced a movie featuring the Japanese character Ultraman. Ultraman production company Tsuburaya Productions has claimed the film is a violation of copyright, but it opened in China on October 1. The film is titled Dragon Force: So Long, Ultraman, and it casts Ultraman as a enemy that fights against a Chinese robot hero. In a press release from July, Tsuburaya Productions claimed that it had not granted permission to the Chinese production company to use the character, and the movie was made without Tsuburaya Productions' knowledge or supervision. The company seeks to halt screenings of the film, and is planning legal action. The Chinese production company, BlueArc, claims that they acquired the license to use the character from a Thai company that supposedly holds the overseas rights for Ultraman. Show originally debuted 1974-75 in Japan Olympusat, Inc.'s television channel TOKU will air the Ultraman Leo series beginning on November 29 at 7:30 p.m. EST. The channel began streaming a trailer last week. TOKU describes the story: The 7th entry in the extremely popular Ultra Series. As a warrior from the planet L77 of the Leo constellation, Ultraman Leo fights to protect mankind from a new alien menace that threatens to destroy earth. Relying on his physical abilities and specializing in martial arts, Ultraman Leo joins MAC (Monster Attack Crew) and the Ultra Brothers in their efforts to protect earth and the universe from all evil. The 51-episode series originally aired in Japan in 1974-75. Tatsumi Nikamoto starred as the in-suit actor for the titular character. The series is also streaming on Crunchyroll. The December issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Hero's magazine revealed on Wednesday that Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's Ultraman manga will have a major announcement in the magazine's next issue on December 1. The manga will adorn the issue's front cover. New film opens March, May J. performs theme song The official website for Ultraman Geed (pronounced "Jeed"), Tsuburaya Productions' new Ultraman series, revealed on Thursday that the series will get a film titled Gekijōban Ultraman Geed - Tsunagu ze! Negai!! (Ultraman Geed the Movie - Connect the Wishes!). The film opens in Japan on March 10. The film's setting is Okinawa, and Yuika Motokariya will have a guest role in the film as the character Airu Higa, a tour guide that is knowledgeable about Okinawa customs and traditions. In truth, Airu is a Kushian who originates from the past, and will fight with Ultraman Geed to defend earth. May J. is performing the film's theme song. The series premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on July 8, and it will have 25 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan. In the show, 16-year-old actor Tatsuomi Hamada is playing Riku Asakura, who can transform into the titular Ultraman Geed. The character is the s
