6 Anime That Take Fan Service A Little Too Far

Fan service in anime is everywhere, and it can range from ‘Tame’ to ‘What the hell did I just watch?’

Every once in a while, you’ll watch an anime that forces you to lock the door, close the blinds, and seclude yourself from witnesses because sometimes being caught watching porn would be easier to explain.

With all the fan service that’s out there nowadays, it’s difficult to sometimes pinpoint exactly what ‘Taking it too far’ means.

According to Unime, here is 6 Anime That Take Fan Service A Little Too Far.

1. No Game No Life

Now despite loving No Game No Life, it does have quite a bit of fan service scattered around.

This fan service isn’t exactly excessive, but when you take into account that one of the main characters of it is an eleven-year-old girl then it’s a bit too far.

Shiro, the eleven-year-old mentioned, is even introduced to us through a panty shot.

Luckily No Game No Life has an excellent and gripping story that makes overlooking the fan service somewhat easy.

2. Ikki Tousen

Ikki Tousen is an anime produced in 2003, that isn’t exactly old, but compared to today’s animation it does seem a bit dated.

The first episode alone has an insane amount of panty shots that boggled my mind making me wonder what the hell I was watching. It reminded me of Street Fighter though…so I guess that’s something.

Every female, who does even a single fighting move, has to have a panty shot to accompany it—it seems to be a rule with this anime.

3. Heaven’s Lost Property

I actually enjoyed Heaven’s Lost Property, it was ridiculous and made jokes at the right time.

The fan service isn’t really the worst, but there is an entire episode about flying panties…so I thought it would be appropriate for the list.

4. High School of the Dead

An anime based around a zombie apocalypse—there isn’t a lot of them, so I was excited when I heard about this one.

Now it isn’t exactly a bad show, the art style and the music used were great for a fast paced zombie killing anime.

However, the unnecessary fan service used throughout ruined it to a degree. Shots of a girl’s panties right before she dies or even the girl’s boobs bouncing as she killed zombies was a bit much.

5. To Love-Ru Series

Fan service is a big part of the To Love-Ru series; however, in the beginning, it was at least slightly tamed and had some kind of storyline.

As it progressed, though, the fan service began to take over and by the time of To Love-Ru Darkness, it was pretty much the closest you could possibly get to hentai without actually watching one.

6. High School DxD

Without censors, I would honestly put this anime under hentai, but perhaps some of you disagree and that’s ok.

High School DxD has angels, fallen angels, and devils all going to the same high school together.

It not only had basic panty flashing fan service but a couple scenes even within the first episode contained full nudity.

The story is okay at least the short amount I watched, but the insane amount of fan service threw me off completely.

Anyway, to the ones that said, “You can never take it too far.” Tsk tsk…
