Brave, powerful, courageous; all words we would use to describe Gandalf the Grey from Lord of the Rings. 

Sexy? Not something we initially thought but one costume is turning us on to the idea of a sexy Gandalf.

Tjitske Van Vark, an 18-year-old woman from Melbourne, recently dressed as Sexy Gandalf on Muck Up Day, and, naturally, won over the internet.

If you’re not familiar with “Muck-up Day,” it’s basically an Aussie tradition where seniors pull pranks and wear costumes on the last day of school.

Tjitske posted photos of her epic costume on Tumblr with the caption: "Our last day of school involved dressing up and I took it upon myself to be the sexiest one there."

The pictures have unsurprisingly been shared far and wide, and Tjitske has since had "countless" marriage proposals, hundreds of new followers, and for Tumblr even to feature the photo on the front page of its site.

Van Vark says she finds the unexpected success funny and is delighted by the amount of people inspired to make their own sexy Gandalf costumes this Halloween.

“The idea of having raised an army of Gandalfs in fishnets is honestly fantastic.”

Best of all, next year she can recycle it into a sexy Dumbledore!
