14 Things That Happen When You Fall For the Villains

"Gotham" hasn’t been shy about introducing numerous villains in Batman’s city during its first season, from the Penguin to Catwoman, but the show is now teasing the arrival of its most iconic villains: The Joker.

Time to put a smile on your face, Joker fans!

There are always some villains in the superhero stories. They’re insane, evil or brutal, but the point is we love them. That’s when the following things happen to us:

1.You start to question your sanity.

“Am I nuts or is the guy trying to blow up the city way more attractive than the guy trying to save it?”

2.But then you realize you make the most sense.

The hero is all brawn and no brains. You want somebody who thinks.

3.So, you head home to look up your new crush.

You’re oddly disappointed when the actor doesn’t turn out to be an evil genius.

4.You roll your eyes at your friends who are just so obsessed with the hero.

“Superman? Please, Lex Luthor’s the real catch. All that cash and that IQ!”

5.You end up thinking all the evil things the villain does are really cute.

“He manipulated everyone so he could take their money and make more of his own! Aww!”

6.And then all the evil things the villain does become not just cute, but smokin’ hot.

“Buffy’s a crusader for the good, but Faith? I don’t care if she staked a human being, her lipstick game makes up for it.”

7. When you find someone else who is in love with the villain, it’s the best day of your life.

“You like Mona Vanderwaal better than Hanna Marin, too? We must be soul mates.”

8. Your mom gives you a hard time about being obsessed with the baddies.

“I mean, Mom, you always wanted me to marry a doctor.”

9. You are really upset when the hero foils your baby’s plans.

“What are you doing? He was just about to achieve world domination!”

10. Your Christmas decorations end up looking something like this.

The Norse god of mischief wishes you a very merry Christmas.

11. People think it’s really weird that you prefer Bizarro to Superman.

He’s really much cuter when he’s from the Phantom Zone.

12.You get angry when the villain doesn’t have enough screen/page time.

“Angel, haven’t we seen enough of you? Where are Spike and Drusilla?”

13.People think that because you love the villain, you must be evil, too.

“Yes, and because I was born on a Friday, that must be my favorite day of the week.”

14.You say, “Really, they’re just misunderstood,” a LOT.

“It’s not the Joker’s fault. It’s society’s.”

15.But most importantly, you wouldn’t trade your villain love for anything.

“I can’t decide which one of them I’d rather be.”

Villains for life!
