DC may have surprised fanboys with a surprise appearance by Batman and Superman,but Marvel brought out all of the Avengers,of course with the exception of an eight-months-pregnant Black Widow,which made Marvel become the king of Comic-Con 2014.

The studio unveiled new footage from “The Avengers:Age of Ultron”,the follow-up to "Marvel's The Avengers," the 2012 blockbuster that earned more than $1.5 billion in worldwide grosses,during its Comic-Con panel on Saturday night.The upcoming superhero sequel is set for release on May 1,2015.

The “Avengers 2” panel was crowded by cast members such as Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Paul Bettany (Vision), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and the newcomers James Spader (Ultron),Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), and last but not least, Josh Brolin as Thanos, who took the stage wearing an Infinity Gauntlet.

"It just keeps getting better," Downey told the boisterous crowd of 6,500 assembled in the San Diego Convention Center. "I'm so excited we're all here."

The footage started with the Marvel superhero team comically attempting to pick up Thor’s hammer off a coffee table,only Steve Rogers even comes close.

The teaser quickly launched into a barrage of action-packed imagery, including Hulk battling a giant robot resembling Iron Man and Thor grabbing Stark by the throat. The footage ended with a bleak scene of all the Avengers fallen with a haunting close up of Captain America's shield split down the middle.

In addition to the footage from "Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron," Marvel also announced official casting for "Ant-Man" and revealed that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" would arrive in theaters on July 28, 2017.
