Game arrives on September 12 in N. America, on September 15 in Europe for PS4, PS Vita, Steam

Sony began streaming an "exclusive content" English trailer on Thursday for NIS America's upcoming release of the Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA game. The video introduces new content for the game's PlayStation 4 version.

A demo is available now for the game's PS4 edition on the PlayStation Store.

The game is slated for physical and digital release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, as well as PC via Steam, on September 12 in North America and September 15 in Europe. The release will have full English audio, as well as the original Japanese audio. The game will have English and French text. NISA's online store is offering a limited edition for both the PS4 and PS Vita that includes a hardcover book, a softcover art book, acrylic bookends, a cloth poster, a steelbook case, and a collector's box.

NISA describes the story:

Ys returns with a brand new adventure for the first time in 8 years! Adol awakens shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and the other shipwrecked passengers he rescues form a village to challenge fearsome beasts and mysterious ruins on the isolated island. Amidst this, Adol begins to dream of a mysterious blue-haired maiden living in an unknown world. Join Adol as he unravels the riddle of the cursed isle and the blue-haired maiden Dana in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana!

Nihon Falcom released the game in Japan on May 25.
