News Super Beaver, Miwa Perform Theme Songs for Setoutsumi Live-Action Series
Series based on Kazuya Konomoto's manga premieres October 13

The official website for rock band SUPER BEAVER announced on Wednesday that the group's song "Niji" (Rainbow) will be the opening theme song for the live-action television series adaptation of Kazuya Konomoto's Setoutsumi manga. The band's guitarist Ryota Yanagisawa wrote the song after reading the original manga.

In addition, the series' staff announced that singer miwa's new song "We are the light" will be the show's ending theme song.

The show's cast includes:

Mahiro Takasugi as Utsumi

Shōno Hayama as Seto

Kaya Kiyohara as Ichigo Kashimura

Yūki Morinaga as Shinji Tanaka

Yūki Katayama as Hatsumi

The cast is different from the live-action film adaptation of the manga that opened in Japan last year.

The adaptation will air on TV Tokyo late at night starting on October 13.

The manga revolves around Kansai-area high school boys Seto and Utsumi, particularly their completely normal but comedic chats after school.

Tatsushi Ōmori (Germanium no Yoru, The Ravine of Goodbye) directed the film, which opened in Japan in July 2016. The film starred Sousuke Ikematsu as Utsumi and Masaki Suda as Seto.

Konomoto launched Setoutsumi in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine in 2013. Akita Shoten published the seventh volume on April 7. The manga was nominated for the 18th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize "Reader Award" in 2014.
