How to Make Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Flapjacks

Flapjacks are a great indulgent snack with a cup of tea and can be so simple to make. I've got a great twist on the classic flapjack recipe if you are looking to try something new, and you can quickly and easily whip up these treats in the comfort of your own home.

You will need:

• 160g of brown sugar

• 200g of butter

• 500g of oats

• 400g of golden syrup

• 200g of peanut butter

• 200g of white chocolate melted

First heat the butter, sugar, and golden syrup in a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water until they are melted and combined. Then in a large mixing bowl mix this mixture with the oats until the oats are fully covered by the mixture.

Put the flapjack mixture into a greased baking tin lined with greaseproof paper and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 220 degrees Celsius. When the 15 minutes up remove the baking tin from the oven and allow the flapjacks to cool in the tin.

Once the flapjacks are cooled, remove them from the baking tin and spread the peanut butter over the top, and then pour the white chocolate over to cover the flapjacks. Transfer to the fridge to chill overnight.

After the flapjacks have been chilled and the chocolate had set, use a sharp knife to portion up the flapjack as desired, I tend to divide the flapjacks up into quite small potions as they are very sweet. Then tuck in and enjoy! Learn more
