National anthem

The national anthem of Thailand is called 'Phleng Chat', which in English means 'National Song'. It was adopted in 1939. The lyrics have been written by Luang Saranupraphan and the music has been composed by Peter Feit.

The first McDonalds in Thailand was opened on 23 February 1985, and it was located in Bangkok. At the moment Thailand has 202 operating McDonalds restaurants. The number of operating McDonalds restaurants in a country is indicative of the influence of Western culture and globalization in that country. Operating McDonalds restaurants could also have a direct impact on the health of a nation's citizens. Around 9% of the population of Thailand are obese.
