It's best that way. If he was Op then the story would get boring fast. Even though his weak we still read coz of how unique he is.

It's refreshing, MC isn't op so he would do anything for his goal. He's vicious and cunning. Though he isn't at the level of MC type side characters YET. But he surprises people even though he's not op. Doesn't chase women, ruthless, vicious, cunning. The only downside his struggle against genius OP side characters. I love it anyway.
