The official Twitter account for the television anime adaptation of Hari Tokeino's Gakuen Babysitters manga announced on Friday that the anime will premiere in January. A flyer at AnimeJapan 2017 in March had stated that the series would premiere in the first quarter of 2018. The series will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Animax. Shūsei Morishita is directing the anime at animation studio Brains Base. Yuuko Kakihara (Chihayafuru 2, Orange) is handling series composition, Satoshi Motoyama (Aho Girl, Skip Beat!) is serving as sound director, and Mina Ōsawa (sub-character designer/chief animation director on Kiss Him, Not Me) is designing the characters. Manga launched in 2009, has TV anime premiering in January The official website of Hakusensha's LaLa DX magazine revealed on Tuesday that Hari Tokeino's Gakuen Babysitters manga will get a special chapter in the magazine's next issue on December 9. The chapter will center on an unexpected event occurring in the daycare center. The manga centers on the brothers Ryūichi and Kotarō Kashima. Ryūichi is in high school and Kotarō is still a toddler. After their parents are killed in a plane crash, the two brothers find themselves living with the chairwoman of the Morinomiya Academy, who herself lost her son and daughter-in-law in the same accident. The chairwoman, however, has one stipulation for the brothers in order to live with her: Ryūichi has to work at the academy's daycare center as a babysitter. Hikaru Katsuki's series launched in 2007; inspired 2 TV anime, live-action series This year's 46th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine is revealing on Wednesday that Hikaru Katsuki's Baby Steps manga will end in three more chapters, including the one Kodansha will publish on Wednesday. Katsuki launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2007. Kodansha published the manga's 46th compiled book volume (pictured at right) on September 15. The manga revolves around Eiichirō "Ei-chan" Maruo, a punctual and earnest boy who has strived for straight As since elementary school. The 15-year-old high school boy stops by a tennis school to deal with his lack of exercise. There, he meets Natsu Takasaki, a beautiful, earnest girl who only has passion for tennis. Cast members sing themes; manga volume 17 gets Sanrio collaboration The January issue of LaLa magazine is revealing on Friday that the Gakuen Babysitters anime will premiere on January 7. The magazine is also revealing that members of the voice cast will perform the theme songs. Daisuke Ono is performing the opening theme song "Endless happy world" as his character Saikawa, and the unit Hyorotto Danshi — comprised of Kōtarō Nishiyama (Ryūichi) and Yuichiro Umehara (Hayato) — is performing the ending theme song "Oshiete yo" (Tell Me). The magazine is also announcing that the 17th compiled volume of the manga will receive a special edition in collaboration with Sanrio. The teaser image shows the characters in costumes of various popular Sanrio characters, including Midori as Kuromi, Kirin as My Melody, Kotarō as Cinnamoroll, Takuma as Keroppi, Kazuma as Tuxedo Sam, and Taka as Pompompurin.
