Macross Delta voice actress' character available in game event until September 10 The official Twitter account for the The [email protected] Cinderella Girls franchise revealed on Thursday that voice actress Minori Suzuki (Macross Delta's Freyja Wion, Record of Grancrest War's Ema) is voicing the character Hajime Fujiwara in the franchise. The character is one of seven that will be available as part of the game's "Aki no Yonaga to Meigetsu Usagi" event that is running from Thursday to September 10. Cygames and Bandai Namco Entertainment released the smartphone game in 2011, and it has since inspired a television anime series adaptation in 2015, as well as multiple other games and manga spinoffs. “Cinderella: Fables are Forever” comes to a close this month, and it’s a pleasant reminder of why Chris Roberson and Shawn McManus have now put together not one but two “Cinderella” mini-series for Vertigo. It might not blow your mind, but it’s a satisfying conclusion to Cinderella and Dorothy’s battles. Roberson gives us one final dose of exposition here, explaining what Dorothy’s been up to and tying it in to her “Jack of Fables” appearances, before diving into the final battle between Cinderella and Dorothy. It’s a satisfying fight, in part because Cinderella’s skills have always been more on the mental than physical side. So in a straight-up fight, she might lose, but as always it’s her wits about her that makes it interesting. And unlike some other stories where the lead character uses brains to get out of a bad situation, there are no deus ex machinas on display here. For those who don’t read “Fables,” you might not know that in that particular comic universe, not only are fairy tale characters real, they’re also living in secret among us. More importantly, you also might not know that Cinderella is more than former royalty; she’s Fabletown’s secret black ops spy. And now that you know that, you might start to understand when I say that it’s nice to see a new “Cinderella” mini-series. The entire creative team from the previous mini-series is back, and clearly they’re making up for lost time. Chris Roberson’s script is fun right from the get go, opening with a mission to Russia in 1983, before jumping to the present-day as elements from that earlier trip come back to haunt Cinderella. There’s a lot packed into this first issue, from the idea of a Cold War Shadow Fabletown full of Soviet Fables (which considering how few there were in the main series, is a clever addition to the mythos), to the silver slipper charm calling card left by the killer. Anime premiered on Tuesday Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it will stream the second season of the [email protected] Cinderella Girls Theater (The [email protected] Cinderella Girls Gekijō) anime series. The stream debuted on Tuesday at 8:55 a.m. EDT. The anime premiered in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS11 on Tuesday at 9:55 p.m. The anime will also air on Saga TV starting in October. The [email protected] Cinderella Girls Gekijō will also hold an event at the Maihama Amphitheater in Chiba Prefecture on March 3 and 4. The first 13-episode anime season of five-minute shorts premiered in Japan on April 4. Daisuki streamed the series outside of Japan. However, the announcement also noted that "Wild Wind Girl isn't over yet," and that the next issue will have a special announcement. The manga centers on Takumi Mukai, a tough girl with a big-sisterly attitude who leads a motorcycle gang. When she meets a certain person, her destiny begins to change, and she decides to become an idol. Misaki launched the manga in Monthly Shōnen Champion in April 2016. Akita Shoten shipped the manga's third compiled book volume on June 8, and will ship the manga's fourth volume on November 8.
