Author and comics writer Gerard Jones was sentenced Tuesday to six years in prison for possession and distribution of child pornography. Best known for his acclaimed 2004 book Men of Tomorrow: Geeks, Gangsters and the Birth of the Comic Book, Jones was arrested in December 2016 following a police investigation and a search of his San Francisco home that uncovered electronic devices containing tens of thousands of images and hundreds of videos containing child pornography.
