Compilation film of anime's 3rd season opens on October 13 The official website for the Yowamushi Pedal franchise began streaming a trailer on Saturday for the Yowamushi Pedal Re:Generation compilation film. The film will have a two-week limited screening starting October 13. The film will incorporate footage from the third anime season with some new shots. The film will feature an original scene with Shingo Kinjō, Yūsuke Makishima, and Jin Tadokoro. The key visual above includes cuts of the scene. Saeki YouthK (Yūsuke Saeki) will perform the film's theme song "Tsuyosa Yowasa" (Strength and Weakness). The CD single for the song will ship on October 4. Game adds CAPCOM character costumes/abilities CAPCOM Vancouver announced on the PlayStation Blog on Friday that it will release Dead Rising 4 on PlayStation 4 on December 5. The company will release it in a bundled edition titled Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package, which will include a new "CAPCOM Heroes" addition allowing the protagonist Frank to dress in costumes and perform attacks of other CAPCOM characters. The bundled edition will also include the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, additional single player content in Frank Rising, Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf, and other bonus content. Nintendo reportedly plans to appeal verdict A jury in Dallas, Texas decided in favor of iLife Technologies in its patent infringement lawsuit against Nintendo of America on Thursday. The court ordered Nintendo of America to pay US$10 million in damages to iLife for infringing on iLife's motion-sensing patents to create Wii and Wii U controllers. iLife filed the lawsuit in 2013, seeking US$144 million in damages, or US$4 for each of the $36 million Wii systems sold prior to the suit (Nintendo ended production on Wii consoles earlier that year). iLife uses to motion-sensing technology to monitor infants for sudden infant death syndrome and the elderly for falls. Nintendo's position was that iLife's patent was not properly written and therefore was invalid. A Nintendo representative told Rolling Stone that Nintendo disagrees with the verdict, and is seeking to raise the issue with the district court and court of appeals. Film opens in 40 theaters in 2-week screening on October 7-20 The official Twitter account for Shizuoka Broadcasting System's character Panpaka Pantsu revealed on Friday that the character will get a film with Sanrio character Pom Pom Purin starring alongside the character. The film, titled Eiga Panpaka Pantsu Matsuri Purin Ara Domo, opens in 40 theaters in Japan for a two-week screening from October 7 to 20. Yoshino Nanjō, who plays Panpaka in the film, will perform the film's theme song "Aoi Pantsu Shiroi Pantsu Sora no Are." Limited edition release slated for November Retailer iam8bit announced this week that it is working with CAPCOM to release a new edition of Street Fighter II for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in late November. Retrotainment Games is manufacturing the SNES cartridge, which will come with an instruction booklet, embossed box, and "retro in-pack surprises." The game costs US$100, and there will only be 5,500 made. Of these, 4,500 will be red-colored cartridges while the remaining 1,000 will be glow-in-the-dark green; the different colors will be distributed randomly to customers. Street Fighter II debuted for arcades in 1991 and was later ported to SNES. The game was recently inducted in The Strong's Video Game Hall of Fame. DOTAMA performs theme song for anime based on, airing alongside Yōkai Ningen Bem The staff of the Yōkai Ningen Bem (Humanoid Monster Bem) 50th anniversary project announced on that the new gag anime Ore-tacha Yōkai Ningen and the rebroadcast of the original 1968-1969 anime will premiere in the same time slot on Tokyo MX at 11:30 p.m. on October 4. The shows will also air together on BS11 at 2:00 a.m. on October 10. The staff also revealed that rapper DOTAMA will perform the new anime's theme song "Ore-tacha Yōkai Ningen! ~Ningen Mezashite Nani ga Warui~." Tokyo MX and BS11 will also rebroadcast the 2006 remake anime but the staff have not yet revealed when. New game will focus on rich lady living in large mansion Bandai Namco Entertainment announced a new installment in its Summer Lesson virtual reality game series titled Summer Lesson: Chisato Shinjo on Thursday. The new title will center on the titular girl, a rich girl who was mentioned briefly in Summer Lesson: Allison Snow as living in a mansion. Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled a silhouette of the character, but did not announce a release date for the game. Bandai Namco Entertainment released the original Summer Lesson game last October 13 in Japan to coincide with the release of the PlayStation VR. The game won a special award in the PlayStation VR category of the PlayStation Awards 2016 in December. Before its release, the project was used as a demonstration of the PlayStation VR. The video shows the unique features for the Switch version, including the various ways of playing the game, and performing attacks using hand gestures. The Switch version will launch in Japan on September 7, and will launch in the Americas and Europe on September 22. The release will include three new systems. The new ad-hoc co-op feature will let players connect and play with up to six players locally for the first time in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series. Using the motion sensor will let players use ultimate techniques. For example, players will be able to hold the Joy-Cons in both hands to use a Kamehameha attack. Two players will be able to use Joy-Cons to battle against each other on one Nintendo Switch. The release will offer the "Time Patrol" story from the first Dragon Ball

Video previews modern version of classic Mazinger Z theme song The official website for the upcoming Mazinger Z anime film announced the film's title, Gekijōban Mazinger Z / Infinity (Movie Version Mazinger Z / Infinity), on Thursday. The website also began streaming a trailer, which previews Ichiro Mizuki's new version of his Mazinger Z theme song. The film will open in Japan on January 13, 2018. The film will have a world premiere outside Japan, before the Japanese premiere, but the staff have not announced a date or location.
