New driving manga launched on Monday, takes place in 2020s with top-class driver who returns to Japan Shuuichi Shigeno's MF Ghost manga launched in the 40th issue of Kodansha's Young Magazine on Monday. The first chapter includes an opening color page and has 40 pages. The series taked place in the 2020s, when self-driving cars are ubiquitous in Japan. The manga centers on Kanata Livington, a Japanese driver who goes back to Japan after graduating at the top of his class at a racing school in England. The series also focuses on the MFG, a racing circuit on public roads that has garnered attention worldwide. Shigeno recently ended his Sailor Ace manga on April 3. He launched the manga in June 2015 and Kodansha published the sixth and final volume on June 6. 2nd anime season premieres on October 7 The official website for the second season of the ClassicaLoid television anime series revealed on Friday that Junichi Suwabe will play the character Antonín Dvořák, who appears like a pygmy hippopotamus. The character is pictured right in the image below with another new character, Richard Wagner (left), voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. Asumi plays Edgar Portsnell in stage play running January-March The official website for the stage play adaptation of Moto Hagio's Poe no Ichizoku (The Poe Clan) manga by the famous all-female musical theater troupe Takarazuka Revue revealed a new visual on Sunday of Rio Asumi in costume as the character Edgar Portsnell. The play will run at the Takarazuka Grand Theater on January 1, 2018 to February 5, and then at the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater on February 16, 2018 to March 25. Rio Asumi and Ayase Senna are starring the play, and Shūichirō Koike is directing the play and penning the script. Main Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R manga ends in Weekly Shōnen Magazine on October 18 The 21st issue of Kodansha's Evening magazine announced on Tuesday that Seimaru Amagi and Fumiya Sato are launching a new manga in the magazine based on their Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R (The File of Young Kindaichi Returns) manga in next year's fourth issue on January 23. The new series will also center on the titular character Kindaichi, but while Kindaichi is a high school student in the current manga, the new manga will age everyone up, casting Kindaichi and Miyuki as adults. A short manga accompanying the announcement explains that Amagi and Sato are still considering a title for the series, though Miyuki jokingly offers the title "The File of Middle-Aged Kindaichi."
