2nd OVA inspires stage play adaptation that runs on September 13-18 The official website for the Magical Suite Prism Nana OVA project began streaming the anime's second OVA on Monday to promote the franchise's upcoming stage play adaptation (which is based on this OVA). The video will be available until September 18. The episode is titled "Hoshizora-hen" (Starry Sky Story). Seiya Numata wrote and directed the episode, and Rina Iwamoto designed the characters. The second episode screened at an event in April 2016. The first episode, titled "Yume Kanaetai...!? Kibō no Advance (Zenpen)" (I Want to Make Your Dream Come True...!? Advance of Hope: First Part), screened at an event in November 2015. Yukihiro Miyamoto directed the episode, with a script by Miku Ooshima, and character designs by Kazuya Shiotsuki. Kentarō Satō's Magical Girl Apocalypse manga spinoff launched in 2013 The seventh compiled book volume of Kentarō Satō's Magical Girl Site (Mahō Shōjo Site) manga is revealing on Friday that a television anime adaptation of the manga has been green-lit for next year. The manga is also transferring from Akita Shoten's Champion Tap! manga website to the publisher's Weekly Shōnen Champion print magazine. Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine teased in August that Satō's original Magical Girl Apocalypse manga would have an important announcement on Friday. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and it describes the story: Asagiri Aya is a young girl who has fallen victim to bullies at her school. Looking for a way to escape her troubles, she looks to the Internet for distraction, when a mysterious website called “Magical Girl Site” appears. Simply viewing the page is all it takes to hurtle Aya headlong into the deadly world of the Magical Girl Apocalypse.

Both series debut in English on September 12 Kodansha Comics is listing that it will release the first volumes of Azu's Magical Sempai (Tejina Sempai) manga and Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka's Grand Blue Dreaming (Grand Blue) manga on September 12. Mahō Shōjo Lyrical Nanoha Reflection THE COMICS launches on December 26 Manga artist Takuya Fujima announced last Friday that he and Masaki Tsuzuki's Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid will end in the December issue of Kadokawa's Comp Ace magazine on October 26. In addition, Tsuzuki and Fujima will launch a new manga titled Mahō Shōjo Lyrical Nanoha Reflection THE COMICS in Comp Ace's February 2018 issue on December 26. The new manga's title mirrors the recent Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection film. Manga about veterinarian for magical creatures debuts in May Seven Seas Entertainment announced on Thursday that it has licensed Kajiya's How to Treat Magical Beasts (Watashi to Sensei no Genjū Shinryōroku) manga. The first volume is slated for print and digital release on May 22, 2018. Seven Seas describes the story: It is a time when humans have begun to forget magic, and science has risen to take its place. Mythical beasts are beginning to disappear from the world. A young girl named Ziska, born into a line of mages, becomes the apprentice to a veterinarian for magical creatures. With the two of them working together, they hope to save these beasts of legend from a world that is leaving them behind. Game features 4th pilot-dependent weapon for Virtuaroids Sega began streaming a promotional video for its Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On (A Certain Magical Virtual-On) game for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on Tuesday. The video reveals that the game will ship in Japan on February 15. The PS4 version of the game will cost 7,990 yen (about US$72), and the PS Vita version will cost 6,990 yen (US$63). The limited-edition Discipline 55 version for PS4 will bundle the 500-page "Chronicle 20" book and the Cyber Troopers Vitual-on Official Sound Data 18 soundtrack CD for 12,490 yen (US$112). The limited-edition Toaru Majutsu no Archive (A Certain Magical Archive) version for PS Vita will bundle the "Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On no Subete" booklet and a soundtrack CD for 10,990 yen (US$99). Whereas science used to rule the day with a litany of inventors like Reed Richards, Tony Stark, and Hank Pym creating new technologies and innovations, masters of the mystic arts have seen a rise in their membership. Along with an increase in numbers, Marvel Comics has flipped the very idea behind magic and the way it’s handled by its users. There is likely a very simple reason for this change in application, and it would appear we have the films based on the comics properties to thank for that.
